Chair Person
I’m Happy Joseph, the Chairperson of Niko Nawe (NINA), and this charity is deeply personal to me.
I was born and raised in Uganda, in a family that faced many financial challenges. I know what it means to grow up with limited access to education, and I also know how life-changing it is when someone gives you a chance.
Before founding Niko Nawe, I served with Watoto Children’s Church in Uganda — an experience that shaped my passion for working with children and gave me firsthand insight into the needs and potential of vulnerable young people across East Africa.
Niko Nawe was born out of that journey — a mission to stand with children who have no one else standing for them. Through this charity, we are working to give children access to education, dignity, and the tools they need to shape their own future.
I’m proud of the work we’re doing in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi — and excited about our current campaign to build a school in Burundi. With your support, we can make lasting change.
Thank you for being part of this journey.

Meet Our Trustee Muhammed Muyomba
I’m Muhammed Muyomba, a proud trustee of Niko Nawe (NINA).
I was raised in Uganda by a remarkable woman — my mother — who dedicated much of her life to helping others in our community. From a young age, I witnessed her compassion in action: supporting struggling families, caring for vulnerable children, and giving whatever she could, even when we had little ourselves.
Her example instilled in me a deep belief in the power of community-led change and the importance of standing with those in need. That belief is what led me to join Niko Nawe.
I am honoured to be part of a charity that is working to ensure every child in East Africa has access to the opportunities they deserve — especially through education. Our work is about more than just school supplies or buildings — it’s about restoring hope and creating long-term impact for children who need it most.
I’m excited about what lies ahead, especially our current mission to build a school in Burundi — and I invite you to be part of this vision.
