What skills and experience do I need?
Given the nature of our calling, we need people with whom we share a passion for helping the marginalised – people who are willing to learn from the tasks, event organisers who will help us fundraise, engineers who will help us build schools and homes for less privileged children, teachers/coaches.
How old do I need to be?
All our volunteers will be adults aged between 18 and 60.
How much time do I need to give?
The time you spend with us is dependent on the project we will have admitted you for. However, you could extend your time at NINA and get involved in other projects that we would be working on.
How long do I have to volunteer for?
We are happy that you are willing to volunteer with us. How long you stay with us depends on the project we would be working on together. However, you can always let us know if you need a break from the project/event.
After I have applied, how long do I need to wait before starting?
When you apply and your application is successful, a person from our team will reach out to you via email or telephone to inform you about when the respective project commences.
Do I need to be in the UK to volunteer?
NINA is building a global family. As such, our volunteers can come from anywhere across the planet. However, for short events such as one-day fundraising events, we would only be accepting local applications.
Will I need training?
All our volunteers will be fully briefed about the projects and where training is required, NINA will ensure that all our volunteers attain the training they need to carry out their tasks successfully.
Will there be expenses, and will they be reimbursed?
NINA will always priorities the wellbeing of all our volunteers – ensuring that they are fed and provided a decent place to stay while they are working with us.
